NATIONAL LEMUR DAY AT THE MILLER PARK ZOO
Miller Park Zoo will host a special event to celebrate National Lemur Day on Saturday, October 28th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Zoo.
“This will be a great opportunity for the entire family to learn more about the Lemur species,” said Silvia Schuh Events and Volunteer coordinator for the Miller Park Zoo, adding, “There will be keeper talks, crafts and games to learn about lemurs.”
Almost a third (31%) of all lemur species in Madagascar are now Critically Endangered – just one step away from extinction.
A full 98% are threatened, according to the 2020 update of The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
The event is free with Zoo Admission.
