Numerous facilities around the BN area boast a proud history of hosting championship events, from youth tournaments to collegiate and professional competitions. In fact, the area hosts several IHSA state finals series as well as the state level of the Illinois Special Olympics, held at Illinois State University since 1977 and drawing more than 15,000 participants.

Taking the field at the Corn Crib each summer, the Normal CornBelters of baseball’s collegiate Prospect League provide exciting, minor-league fun — a great way to enjoy America’s pastime with the whole family. During the colder months, catch the hard-hitting, ice-spraying action as the Bloomington Bison of the ECHL take the ice at Grossinger Motors Arena.
