Civil Rights Presentation

Come to a Civil Rights Presentation on Sunday January 19th from 4-5:30pm at First Presbyterian Church of Normal in the Great Hall. In recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, 3 members of our faith community (Rev. Chris Schilling, Carol Schrantz, and Marilea White) will share their experiences exploring the Civil Rights Movement (1954-1968), which sought to end legalized racial segregation, discrimination and disenfranchisement. Our speakers will highlight major events in 3 Alabama cities: Montgomery, Birmingham, and Selma. All are welcome; childcare will be available.
